Industrial Laser Safety Training

There are several levels of industrial laser safety training, which is why Laser Safety Consulting offers custom-tailored training courses for each client. There is no reason to pay for an employee to take extensive laser safety training if he or she will only come into peripheral contact with a laser controlled area. Likewise, insufficient industrial laser safety training for designated employees can result in injury, fines, lawsuits, and even the demise of a business.

OSHA requires that businesses have an LSO if they work with either Class 3B or Class 4 lasers. Laser Safety Consulting provides companies with the necessary information to determine whether or not they need an LSO. If they do, Laser Safety Consulting can then provide the legally required safety training for that officer.

One of the most important duties of an LSO is to evaluate laser hazards and designate which areas are Nominal Hazard Zones. If, for instance, your company is using an industrial laser of Class 3B or 4, the area in which eye and skin damage is possible must be clearly marked so that employees can take proper precautions. The two to three day LSO training course offered by Laser Safety Consulting covers Nominal Hazard Zones in detail.

Contracting through Laser Safety Consulting directly saves companies a significant amount of money compared to larger off-site training programs.
